Zen Mechanics was launched in 2002 by the multi-talented Dutchman Wouter Thomassen, Drawing from his 12 year DJ experience, he soon caused quite a stir with his eclectic style. By fusing elements of futuristic Trance, Progressive, Ambient & Breaks into a powerfull dancefloor-friendly and atmospheric sound, he quickly gained critical acclaim and interest from a range of top labels as varied as his output (such as Aleph Zero, Iboga, Neurobiotic, Nano, Alchemy and Flow). Oscar Allison, a.k.a Grouch is from Aotearoa, New Zealand. Making music since late 1999, Grouch was producing experimental psychedelic dub, down-tempo and DnB. In 2006, he started playing at outdoor festivals, and started writing more and more trance. Grouch's music has constantly evolved over time, and now includes various genres: from techno to minimal, dubstep, psychedelic and progressive trance, he also crosses these genres uniquely. With a long-standing background in percussion, the Grouch experience is a profound and cheeky amalgamation of minimal, tribal percussive elements and intricate and phat stomping basslines. With an incredibly distinctive style, Grouch’s productions are multi-layered, yet so clean that there is no room for any loose ends. Grouch has played extensively at music festivals and clubs throughout Australia and New Zealand, and more recently also in India. Since his debut album "The Moof is Rooving" on A-List Records in 2006, he has released several tracks on different labels, including Cosmic Conspiracy Records, Zenon records and Native Harmonics records. He currently has another album set for release on Up Records, and plenty of other VA releases to look out for in the near future.

Paul Abad is a dj, promoter, producer, visual artist and community activator based in South East Queensland, Australia. He has been part of the local music scene since 1998 and is now a regular on the east coast festival circuit. His main focus is a tribal progressive techno fusion ... now representing Open Records and beginning to work on his own music productions. Paul djs exclusively in Ableton Live, taking a multi-layered dub based approach to mixing techno. Paul is active as a promoter also - after having been involved in staging outdoor music events since 2001, in 2005 he launched Subterran, an events org focused on outdoor enviro/electronic music events. Subterran has a solid list of events under its belt now and more to come. Subterran is the key body behind the annual Earth Freq Festival.

From the depths of a valley in the Southern Highlands of NSW comes Merkaba, a deep progressive project from Elliot Wilmot. From jamming out as a drummer to spinning hip hop and breakbeats for 6 years Elliot has always had a healthy relationship with music. In 2004 he decided to have a go at making his own deliciously phat beats, however, it wasn't until Jan 2007 when he found himself barefoot in the Aussie bush in front of some monster speaker stacks that he realized his ultimate musical direction. The Doof had changed him forever! With a focus on positive and healing vibrations Merkaba combines deep basslines with lush melodies, tribal percussion and a focus on an overall 'organic' sound. Prepare for a vibrational journey that connects the mind, heart, body, and Dancefloor!

The Daheen psytrance experience is something to behold. He has aimed to create a distinctive style, fusing sounds and melodies to tell a story or convey a concept, as well as providing a stomping good dance. He incorporates many samples from the real world, especially animal sounds as seen in his popular track ‘Jungle Juice’ released on EPP Records in 2004. His unique live set has to be seen to be believed, providing a visual theatrical element which believe it or not features animals playing guitar! Incorporating different masks and costumes to go with each differently themed track, the Daheen live psy set is extremely entertaining, comical, bizarre, and a great dance. Daheen has been showcasing his live performance up and down the east coast of Australia as well as recent performances in the UK and on the European festival circuit. Recent releases include 'Direct flight' - a track with Psyboriginal on his album "Unleashed", and 'Regrowth' - from the debut Regen Records compilation "Tree Dimensional". Daheen will also be performing a live chillout set. His chillout music, like much of the music he writes, has a unique style. It is a rich blend of live guitar, floating melodies, whacky samples, whales, dogs, monkeys, cows, lions, tigers, birds, opera singers, flute, didgeridoo, bag pipes, harmonica, Jews harp, beat-boxing, laptop, and a partridge in a pear tree. He glides through genres ranging from ambient to dub to chilled breaks to psychedelic chill, always with plenty of funk. In December 2008 he released his debut album “Green Chillies” on Regen Records which made the top 10 sales charts on Saiko Sounds and has also released a number of tracks on various compilations. Daheen has performed his live chill set to much acclaim at a number of events up and down the east coast of Australia and overseas performances in U.K, Lithuania, Poland and India. The live show contains many live elements such as keys, harmonica, jews harp, guitar and special guest performance by the beautiful Karolina on live vocals.

The solo project of bumble is a hive of audio vibrations set into the air by an infatuation of audio play and music composition. It is the reflection of nature that constantly surrounds bumble on flights and the soundtracks to his often hermitudinal life (much to do in the hive). People know bumble as max. Creating sonically diverse music using software platforms, hardware synths and a bit of guitar the unifying theme reflects nature, experience, perception and aspires to spark connection. Max has been playing bass-heavy, up-beat and down-beat creations in NSW, Victoria and Queensland (and recently in BA, Argentina) since the beginning of 2006. Recently playing mainstage at the 2009 Tribeadelic, Dragon Dreaming, Secret Sessions and Cairns Winter Solstice Festivals. Max finds much pleasure in honestly recreating his music in a live context through playing in live synth and continually adding and filtering elements on the fly.

ONDA is.... the duo creation founded in the latin climes of Argentina. Two friends whose ideas mesh to create deep and twisting full-on psychedelic morning sounds. They are the combination of established Australian artists A'kin and Thermohaline. ONDA is a recipe that was brewed on a surfing safari along the Uruguayan coast: 2 cups of phat bass, an ounce of driving beats, 3 spoons of psychedelic melodies and a pinch of twisted ear-tweaking chaos. Onepointzero, An archaic prototype version one sentient sonic wave generator and interface unit. Found in stasis by a deep space salvage crew some time in the 21st century. Estimated cira 2001. Little is known of this unit though, it is believed to have originated as a bass and keyboard player in various punk and industrial metal bands in 90's, the unit underwent many custom modifications while exploring the sonic possibilities of electronic music. From industrial powernoise to techno to hardhouse, Onepointzero has constantly been evolving. Sometime in the early 00's onepointzero was exposed to psychedelic culture and was instantly transformed. from that point on the unit began to make a psychedelic music hybrid borderlining on Progessive psytrance and psychedelic techno heavily influenced from tribal psychedelic experiences, life, the universe, and everything.

Sunrunner was born from a blazing ray of sunshine that burst through a legion of puffy white clouds one sunny Australian afternoon in November. Starting out as a small ball of light, Sunrunner eventually became more of a consciousness and acquired some technology to start working on music. After many nights of producing random blips and beeps, things started to sound a little less like a computer shorting out and more like a piece of electronic music.
Combining trippy sounds, lush pads, emotive melodies and percussion, Sunrunner’s sound is reminiscent of the Australian bush and outback on a slightly psychedelic afternoon. His music has been heard around parts of Australia and as far abroad as Finland and Japan.

Thermohaline…is the solo project of Sydney-based producer Cameron Allen. ReseteseR Lays down slabs of bass like a cement truck building a parking lot. For the past four years she has been bringing the "scrape-me-face-off-my-shoes-cause-my-feet-wanna-dance" vibe to hippy jam fests with outstanding results. Sporadically infusing unique acid tribal bass freqs with jahtari wondervibes, she has amassed a following from Cairns to Melbourne, busting out the goods at open air reggae-hair-style-dancing-parties, and dank-dirty-city-ditch club gigs. she also has a fan club in the east indies, however has not returned since playing for seven hours on the mainstage at the "coconut flava hoover bassathon" festival 08 which was sponsored by wipeout and lasted thirty seven days before the whole island crumbled into the sea due to sonic vibration.

Based in Melbourne, Richard Hinkson, Interpulse, first began producing electronica 15 years ago. Richie is also known for his 8 years with live, tribal-trance duo, Mantrix, who played live at most major Australian outdoor festivals and produced a large handful of albums, with releases on various labels including Sub, Psy-Harmonics. 2007 saw the completion of Mantrix, and the beginning of Richie’s solo project, Interpulse. The fresh sound is focused on uplifting journeys through deep, progressive music, combining melodic atmospheres with driving techno basslines and layered tribal percussion - all wound together with a distinct Australian outdoor festival vibe and strong dancefloor focus. 2008 saw Interpulse embark on a successful Japanese tour which coincided with the first Interpulse release, "Transcender", a digital EP released by Open Records. The next release was an Ace Ventura remix, Presence, co-written with Shadow Fx, released by Iboga Records on Reboot, Ace Ventura’s Remix album. Richie is currently working on his debut Interpulse album to be released in 2010.
