Williams House : Youth Residential Withdrawal Services
Williams House is a community residential drug and alcohol withdrawal unit. We provide a seven to fourteen day program for young people aged between 12 and 21 years of age wishing to withdraw from alcohol or other drugs.
At Williams House we believe in a holistic approach to health and well being. Drug use is only one aspect of a young person's life, and we aim to treat and support you as an individual, with individual needs.
ReGen’s Non Residential Withdrawal Services
Non-residential withdrawal offers assistance to young people wanting to withdraw from substances at home by providing nursing staff visits for monitoring, support, counselling and future assistance planning or if preferred, when the client visits our centre in Jessie St, Coburg. We work in conjunction with your GP. We can also help you commence and stabilise on opiate substitution therapies (methadone and buprenorphine).
ReGen is a partner organisation within Victoria's Youth Alcohol and Drug Advice (YoDAA) service. See their website for more information on other youth services available in the state.
'Beth' (name changed) was a young person who attended ReGen for help with her substance and mental health issues. Beth approached us to share her story in order to provide further understanding on what is involved and can be achieved in alcohol and drug treatment and to encourage others who find themselves in similar situations.
