Programs
The residential withdrawal services are statewide services. Outpatient and home-based withdrawal are also provided to people residing in the northern part of the North Western Metropolitan Region.
Assessment
Assessment for withdrawal is predominantly by appointment which can be made by contacting the Duty Worker 9.00 to 3.00pm Monday to Friday. This contact can be by telephone on 9386 2876 or by drop in at the Jessie Street location.
Residential Withdrawal
Community Residential Drug Withdrawal - Adult (Curran Place)
This twelve-bed facility located in Heidelberg provides residential support to assist adults to withdraw from a range of drug types. The service provides a high level of support and a range of therapeutic and activity based programs. The average length of stay is 7 days and there is an emphasis on post withdrawal support and treatment planning.
This four-bed facility, Williams House, provides withdrawal support and respite for up to four young people aged 12 to 21 years. Like the adult service, the youth service works with general practitioners in the community. The average stay at Williams House is 7-10 days. The program offers a wide range of information, education and activity based programs and has a focus on post withdrawal treatment and support. Non Residential Withdrawal
Outpatient Withdrawal
The Outpatient Withdrawal Service assists people who experience mild to moderate withdrawal and who can be appropriately managed without admission to a residential service. The service is provided by a registered nurse who works with general practitioners in the community to monitor withdrawal symptoms, provide information and support and link clients to appropriate post withdrawal services.
Homebased Withdrawal
The Homebased Withdrawal Service works with young people and adults to provide a safe withdrawal in the comfort and security of the client's home. It is provided in conjunction with general practitioners in the community. Registered nurses monitor withdrawal symptoms, provide information and support to clients and family members and link clients to appropriate post withdrawal services.
Post Withdrawal support
Post Withdrawal Support worker
This position is linked to the withdrawal programs and helps clients access services for post withdrawal support. This service greatly enhances outcomes for clients.

The Keeping Going group meets on Thursdays at ReGen.
