UnitingCare ReGen is a not-for-profit agency, which has over 40 years’ experience in delivering a comprehensive range of AOD services to the community.

About the role:

We currently have a unique opportunity for an experienced AOD Counsellor to join our team at Port Phillip Prison to deliver ReGen’s AOD program to prisoners. About you:

As an AOD Counsellor you will ensure the delivery of the ReGen programs within the prison environment. You will be responsible for providing psycho-educational and therapeutic group programs, 1:1 counselling, and will work closely with prison officers and partner agencies.

To be successful in the role you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or Allied Health Sciences, have 4 key competencies in AOD, qualifications in dual diagnosis or willingness to undertake, a current Victorian driver’s license, and experience working in the AOD sector, particularly with a forensic client base or in a corrections setting.
