You are warmly invited to attend the UnitingCare ReGen Annual General Meeting.

The keynote presentation will be on Consumer Participation at UnitingCare ReGen by Regina, ReGen’s Consumer Participation Facilitator, and Marie, a Consumer of ReGen’s services.

About Consumer Participation at ReGen

For the past six years, ReGen has been working to increase the level of involvement consumers have in the planning, delivery and review of its services. Initially this work focused on establishing a client charter and redeveloping the agency’s feedback and complaints systems. Since then there have been developments across the agency.

The introduction of ReGen’s Consumer Participation Facilitator role marks another big step forward. The role is not intended to be that of a single voice representing all ReGen consumers, but to facilitate a wide range of activities so that people who use our services have a say in how those services are delivered and contribute to the organisation’s strategic direction.

Regina will discuss the development of consumer participation practice in the organisation since the commencement of her position in May 2013 (and plans for the future). Marie will present her experiences as a consumer participant, the challenges and benefits involved and how her experience of using ReGen services proved to be an invaluable part of this process.
