Melbourne, VIC, 19th November 2015 – UnitingCare ReGen, the lead alcohol and other drug treatment and education agency of UnitingCare Victoria & Tasmania, today celebrated its win at the 2015 Victorian Public Healthcare Awards.

The agency’s work developing innovative, evidence based responses to methamphetamine dependence took out the ‘Improving health, safety and wellbeing’ award. The other finalists in this category were Monash Health’s Wellness and Recovery Centre: a centre of excellence in the treatment of eating disorders and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy for Monash Doctors.

Melbourne, VIC, 11th November 2015 – UnitingCare ReGen, the lead alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment and education agency of UnitingCare Victoria & Tasmania, today celebrated the success of Rose McCrohan (Manager of ReGen’s adult residential withdrawal service in Ivanhoe) in winning the 2015 Clinician Award for excellence and leadership in clinical practice in the field of substance use at last night’s APSAD Conference dinner.

Melbourne, VIC, 16th October 2015 – UnitingCare ReGen, the lead alcohol and other drug treatment and education agency of UnitingCare Victoria & Tasmania, today announced that the first round of its award winning Catalyst non-residential alcohol and other drug rehabilitation program in Melbourne’s outer south east will commence on November 9, in Narre Warren.

Methamphetamine Family First Aid Logo DC2 181Hx180W

The Methamphetamine Family First Aid program is for families and significant others who have a family member who is using methamphetamine.

The free, 2.5 hour program provides families’ with the support, knowledge and strategies to respond to a loved one’s methamphetamine use by developing safety plans, creating boundaries, dealing with anger, anxiety, paranoia and psychosis related behaviours.

The program also discusses self-care strategies for families and significant others.
